Code of Conduct

1. Independence and objectivity

1.1 Independence: As an external data protection officer and reporting office in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act, we are committed to performing our duties objectively and independently. We act in the best interests of our clients in compliance with the legal requirements.

1.2 Protection of identity: We ensure the protection of the identity of whistleblowers and treat all information about whistleblowers as strictly confidential. We will never disclose the identity of a whistleblower unless required by law or requested by the whistleblower.

2. Confidentiality and Data Protection

2.1 Confidentiality: We treat all information that comes to our attention in the course of our activities with the utmost confidentiality. This applies to data protection matters as well as to whistleblower reports.

2.2 Data protection: We respect and protect the privacy and data of our customers, whistleblowers and other data subjects. All personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy.

3. Legal Compliance

3.1 Legal Compliance: We are committed to complying with all applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Whistleblower Protection Act and other relevant laws and regulations.

4. Anti-discrimination and openness

4.1 Anti-discrimination: We are committed to equal treatment of all persons, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, age, disability or any other protected characteristic. Discrimination and harassment will not be tolerated.

4.2 Openness and Accessibility: We are open to all tips and concerns, regardless of their origin. Our hotline is easily accessible, and we promote a culture of openness and transparency.

5.1 Integrity: We act with integrity and ethics at all times and are committed to avoiding any form of unethical or illegal behavior.

6. Training and continuing education

6.1 Continuing Education: We continuously keep abreast of current developments in data privacy and whistleblower protection and ensure that our employees are appropriately trained.

7. Reporting and Transparency

7.1 Reporting: We prepare regular reports on our activities as an external data protection officer and whistleblower protection office and submit them to our customers and the relevant authorities as required by law.

8. Review and Update

This Code of Conduct will be reviewed regularly and updated as necessary to ensure that it meets changing requirements and legal requirements and maintains high ethical and legal standards.
